HVAC Specialists in Southwestern Ontario
Forget traditional furnaces and air conditioners that work independently. Heat pumps are architectural marvels that provide both high-capacity heating in winter and precision cooling in summer.
By moving heat rather than generating it, these systems achieve efficiency levels that traditional fossil fuel systems simply cannot match, leading to substantial utility savings and a quieter home environment.

Once again, Hometown Heating and Cooling came to our rescue! A furnace that was shutting off in -10 degree weather - they were there right away and Riley took the time to have several calls with me as their team worked through issues and the repair.Posted on Google![]()

During the recent cold snap, our furnace stopped working. I called Hometown, and was asked several routine questions to ensure, the issue couldn’t be solved by me. When the technicians arrived they immediately diagnosed the problem and corrected it. The service cost was reasonable. I am very happy with the complete experience.Posted on Google![]()

Heat Pumps FAQ
What exactly is a heat pump, and how is it different from an AC?
A heat pump looks just like an air conditioner and provides amazing cooling in the summer. The “magic” is a reversing valve that allows it to pull heat from the outside air and move it into your home during the winter. It’s an all-in-one system for year-round comfort.
How much can I save on my energy bills by switching?
Heat pumps are incredibly efficient—often 300% to 400% efficient compared to a 95% efficient gas furnace. By “moving” heat instead of “creating” it by burning fuel, many Hometown customers see a significant drop in their overall energy spending, especially if they are currently using electric baseboards or propane.
Do I need to replace my furnace to get a heat pump?
Not necessarily! We can install a Hybrid (Dual Fuel) System. This uses the heat pump for cooling and moderate heating, then automatically switches to your gas furnace when temperatures plummet. It’s the best of both worlds: maximum efficiency and total peace of mind.
